State Representative Gino H. Polidori (D-Dearborn) joins Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm as she signs his plan to ensure that Michigan's fallen veterans receive a proper burial into law on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009. Polidori, Chair of the House Military, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security Committee, and served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966, championed the new law to help funeral directors identify the cremated remains of veterans and arrange burial plans at a state or national veterans cemetery.
